Prospect Profile: Will Whitticker

William Whitticker School: Michigan State
Ht: 6-5.5 Wt: 320 40: 5.31 Year: 5Sr

Bio: Four-year starter who consistently graded out as one of Michigan State's better offensive lineman.

Positives: Explosive interior blocker with excellent size. Quick off the snap, gets movement from run blocks or anchors in pass protection. Nasty, looks to hit opponents, yet moves well for a big man. Can adjust and blocks with good lean. Jolts defenders at the point of attack.

Negatives: Haphazard in his movements and does not play with great balance. Average awareness and slow reacting to defenders' moves or recognizing blitzes thrown by opponents. Tore a medial-collateral ligament in his left knee during January's Las Vegas Classic.

Analysis: A big-bodied lineman with the strength to match, Whitticker stands out on film and can be a dominant blocker. Though the consistency and effort are not always there, showed strides of improvement as a senior and has a place at the next level if he keeps working hard. Recent knee injury will keep him out of the draft.
