Prospect Profile: Jason Anderson

Jason Anderson School: Wake Forest
Ht: 6-2.5 Wt: 192 40: 4.65 Year: 5Sr

Bio: Two-year starter who suffered through an injury-plagued senior campaign, totaling just 20/308/1. Led the team in receiving as a junior with 44/751/6.

Positives: Tall, fluid pass catcher with adequate upside for the next level. Intelligent ball player who comes back to the pass, works to make himself an available target, and grabs the ball in a crowd. Uses his frame to shield away opponents, gets vertical and pulls the high pass out of the air. Adjusts to scoop up the low throw and displays strength battling opponents for the difficult reception.

Negatives: Adequate as a blocker, yet should get better results. Displays strong hands but does a lot of unnecessary body catching, and lets the pass get inside him. Marginal route-running skills. More of a long strider with built up speed.

Analysis: After a strong junior campaign, Anderson took a step back with an injury-riddled senior season. Has potential as a team's fourth receiver if he gets his game back on track.
