Prospect Profile: Fred Amey

Fred Amey School: Sacramento State
Ht: 5-10 Wt: 186 40: 4.59 Year: 5Sr

Bio: Four-year starter who's been a first team All-Conference selection every season since his sophomore campaign. Finished with 76/1,186/6 catching the ball as a senior, while also averaging 18.7 yards on 14 kick returns. Holds school records for career receiving yards, receptions and touchdowns.

Positives: Ultra productive, small school player who offers a large amount of natural skill. Possesses soft hands, strong enough to make the difficult catch in a crowd and displays good eye/hand coordination. Gets vertical and high points the ball, adjusting to make the reception in contorted positions. Consistently extends to catch the ball away from his frame.

Negatives: Marginal speed and does not beat defenders down the field. Small to be considered a possession wideout.

Analysis: Though he does not stand out in any single aspect and at times goes unnoticed on film, the production and versatility Amey offers cannot be overlooked. Experience as both a punt and kick returner coupled with his production as a receiver give him a shot.
