Prospect Profile: Darian Durant

Darian Durant School: North Carolina
Ht: 5-11 Wt: 225 40: 4.62 Year: 4Sr

Bio: Four-year starter who holds almost every UNC passing record. Finished his senior season with numbers of 59.5%/2,238/17/9.

Positives: Super athletic passer with the abilities to make plays with his arm or legs. Patient in the pocket, sees the short field and easily gets the pass downfield. Looks away from covered receivers, finds the open target or pulls the ball down and takes off up the field.

Negatives: Has a big wind up and releases the ball from the side. Marginal accuracy down the field and lacks top pass placement. Has difficulty seeing over the line.

Analysis: A good athlete who's been a solid quarterback on the collegiate level, Durant has the size and physical skills to make the switch to another position in the NFL. Unlikely to be drafted, yet a solid developmental prospect for a team's practice squad as a running back or safety.
