Pro-Day: Tennessee

Pro-Day in Tennessee is always one to look forwards to as the Volunteer's usually have a ton of quality prospects that usually do not workout at the combine. Today was no different as many performed well on a new, and slower, surface.

The workouts today were run at the new Neyland-Thompson Sports Complex, which was thought to be much slower than the old surface that saw Volunteers scorch the field in the past.

As we mentioned earlier on the board, Donte' Stallworth was clocked today between 4.23 and 4.29. Another scout told us he timed the wide out at 4.31 so in short, Stallworth was fast. Checking in at 198 pounds, Stallworth popped a vertical jumped of 39 inches and broad jumped of 10 feet 9 inches.

Two teams seemed enamored with Stallworth today, the Saints and Redskins, who sent Steve Spurrier to Knoxville for the workout.

As for some of the other prospects defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth weighed 317 pounds and ran a forty in the 4.8-range but turned in a disappointing broad jump of 8 feet 7 inches and vertical jump of 31 inches. He benched 225 pounds only 17 times. This will not help Haynesworth.

Fellow Volunteer tackle John Henderson weighed 309 pounds and ran in the 4.9-range but decided not to lift or jump.

Andre Lott ran a 4.45 forty while Will Bartholomew ran a 4.56 forty.

Maryland had it's Pro-Day today and subscriber Kevin Pompey alerted us that corner Tony Okanlawon recorded a 4.37-forty and 4.12 shuttle run while also turning in a 38.5-inch vertical jump, 10-2 broad jump and completed 20 reps on the bench.
