SCOUTING REPORT- Ray Jackson/ Cincinnati

Ray Jackson       Cincinnati      6-1/214/4.66      5Sr

STATS & BIO: Former Michigan transfer experienced at both halfback and fullback.  Rushing totals were 145/592/4.1/7 last season when he caught 27/455/16.9/2.  Led the team in rushing as a junior playing in ten games and registering 201/808/4/6 while catching 7/127/18.1/2.  Saw duty mainly as a fullback last season.

THE GOOD:  Solid athlete lacking the true size/speed numbers for either position in the offensive backfield.  Works his runs carrying the ball, keeps the play in bounds and puts his shoulders into the opponent when tackled.  Displays vision, follows blocks and adequate running skills on the interior.  Viable receiving threat out of the backfield that's improved his hands every season.

THE BAD: Weaves his way through the traffic but not quick or elusive and for a bigger back does not show much power.  Not fast through the hole, runs with an upright style and not effective blocking.

THE SKINNY: Receiving skills could help him catch on next September.  Free Agent.
