SCOUTING REPORT- Dicenzo Miller/ Mississippi St

SCOUTING REPORT

Dicenzo Miller    Mississippi St    5-10/215/4.99    4Sr

STATS & BIO: Team's primary back since he was a true junior.  Played in nine games last season finishing with 132/676/5.1/4 on the ground and 19/337/17.7/3 receiving.  All-Conference the prior year when his rushing numbers were 160/1,005/6.3/10 and receiving totals 24/344/14.3/2.

THE GOOD:  Skilled interior runner and a back with patience and determination.  Sees the field, waits for his blocks to develop and will pick and choose his spots.  Runs with forward lean, balance and displays the ability to cut it back in a small area.  Built low to the ground, strong in his lower body and breaks arm tackles.  Adequate receiver out of the backfield that looks the ball into his hands, sets up his blocks down the field and is always working to pick up extra yardage.

THE BAD: Not quick or fast through the hole, cannot run to daylight or beat opponents around the corner.  Gives an attempt blocking, but not overly effective.

THE SKINNY: Forty-time makes it unlikely that he'll be drafted, though he plays much faster than he times and has been rather durable throughout college.  Don't be surprised to see him on an active roster next September.  Free Agent.
