SCOUTING REPORT- Tim Carter/ Auburn

Tim Carter          Auburn     5-11.5|190|4.35          4Sr

STATS & BIO: Two-year starter that originally played defensive back at Auburn.  Led the team in receiving last year, totaling 35/570/16.3/3, also averaging 13/311/23.9/0 returning kicks.  Registered 21/271/12.9/1 as a receiver the prior year with 19/243/1 returning kicks.  Only caught a single pass as a sophomore after missing four games with a bad ankle.  Ran track at Auburn spending time on the 4x100 meter relay team.

THE GOOD:  Athletic receiving prospect starting to put the pieces together.  Quick releasing off the line of scrimmage, fast in either a straight line or laterally and catches the ball in stride.  Runs nice crossing routes, comes back to the quarterback and looks the ball into his hands.  Times and anticipates his receptions well adjusting nicely to the pass running full tilt and makes the catch downfield.  Effective on the sidelines, works to pick up positive yardage running after the catch and solid returning kicks.

THE BAD: Lacks the strong hands, does not pluck the ball out of the air and has problems with ball security.  Does not use his frame to box out opponents nor does he always translate his sprinter speed fully onto the football field.  Ran a pair of blistering forty's at the combine in the 4.35 range.

THE SKINNY: Still rough around the edges but his athleticism coupled with the progress he showed as a senior will get him mid-first day consideration.  Late Second Round.
