'06 NFL Draft Watch: Louisiana Tech

A program always on the cusp of a winning season and bowl invite, the Bulldogs are now without the services of a terrific offensive player in Ryan Moats. And though they offer solid NFL prospects, none are of the first day variety as was their former ball carrier.

Scouting the WAC: Louisiana Tech

Offensive guard Aaron Lipps is a solid position blocker who plays with quickness and explosion.  Lacking adjustment and footwork in space, he is not a finisher and is best in a very small area.  Lipps could fall into the late rounds next April.

Defensively the team has a pair of marginal prospects who could catch on as free agents.  Outside linebacker Byron Santiago is best in pursuit, scraping laterally and making plays to the flanks.  Cornerback Tramon Williams offers good physical skills yet must pick up every area of play to be seriously considered for the next level.
