NFL Draft Scouting Report: Greg Lee

Larry Fitzgerald and Antonio Bryant; just two of the highly rated pass catchers placed into the NFL Draft from the Pittsburgh Panther football program. The next big play, game controlling receiver for the next level is already in the pipeline. And he is already drawing a lot of opinions.

Full Name: Greg Lee   School: Pittsburgh

Ht: 6-1.5    Wt: 200    40: 4.57    Yr: 3Jr

Pos: Game breaking receiver who consistently makes big plays. Solid route runner, gets separation from defenders then comes back to the quarterback out of breaks. Uses his frame to protect the pass and consistently catches the ball with hand. Easily makes the reception with defenders draped on him, displaying outstanding concentration. Tough, gets vertical and exposes himself to the big hit in order to make the catch. Finds the soft spot in the defense and displays a sense of timing. Flashes speed and the ability to make plays down field. Easily makes difficult, acrobatic receptions running full speed. Pulls the ball from the air even if double teamed.

Neg: Not quick releasing from the line. Considered a "product of the system" by some. Has a case of the drops as a junior.

Analysis: A very productive wide out who controls games and the same time breaks them open, Lee presents himself as a number one wide out for the next level. Has his critics and needs to iron out the details of his game yet possesses plenty of upside.
