Originally posted earlier today, Auburn defensive end Stanley McClover is headed to the draft. An undersized yet explosive pass rusher who consistently makes plays in the opponents backfield, McClover carries a first day grade and could improve with solid pre-draft workouts.
Florida cornerback Dee Webb is also entering the draft. The fastest player on the Gator team, Webb is coming off a terrific season. Leading UF with 13 pass break-ups, (more then twice the number of any other Gator defender) Webb finished the season with terrific performances against Florida State and Iowa.
Another SEC defender who will announce his eligibility for the draft in the coming days is safety Laron Landry of LSU. Several scouts told us Landry could slide into the initial frame and will be the first pure safety selected.
The same can be said of Kai Parham, the forgotten linebacker from the University of Virginia. An explosive defender who led the Cavaliers with 103 tackles, 15 tackles for loss and eight sacks, Parham never received the notoriety of teammate Ahmad Brooks, who only played six games this year. Parham could announce his eligibility for the draft by Monday.
Sources have told us late this evening that it looks like UCLA running back\return specialist Maurice Drew will enter the draft.
