The biggest name general managers on hand included A.J. Smith of the San Diego Chargers, the New York Giants Ernie Acorsi and Terry Bradway of the New York Jets.
Here are the highlights:
Marcus Maxey: 41.5-inch vertical jump with a clocking of 4.40 seconds in the 40. Some had Maxey in the 4.3's.
Kelly Jennings: 12 reps on the bench and a 40-inch vertical. Performed very well in position drills and had the Jacksonville Jaguars very interested.
Sinorice Moss: 42-inch vertical and a 10'-3" broad jump. Ran routes and caught punts but did not run the forty as the left quad he hurt at the combine is still a problem. Moss clocked a 4.39 at the combine even though he slowed down at 30-yard mark after pulling his quad.
Devin Hester: Scouts clocked him at 4.41 seconds in the first forty, then 4.28 in his second running. Hester has been telling people he was much faster. Later he was used at both receiver and cornerback. The St. Louis Rams were very interested.
Quadrine Hill: The Hurricane fullback was used at running back and looked good. He clocked a 4.53 forty, completed 16 reps on the bench and had a 38-inch vertical jump.
Orien Harris: After not working out at the combine, Harris did not distinguish himself today. He completed 25 reps on the bench, ran in the 5.05-second range and posted a 30-inch vertical. Teams are not convinced he can play in a 3-4.
Tony Tella: Ran in the high 5.3's during the forty and posted an impressive 4.8 short shuttle. Both the Washington Redskins and New York Giants spoke with him at length.
Javon Nanton: 4.76 seconds in the forty, 33.5-inch vertical and 22 reps on the bench. Worked out at linebacker and defensive end. The Denver Broncos and St. Louis Rams are very interested in Nanton.
Roger McIntosh: 4.55-4.60 in the forty.
Thomas Carroll: 16 reps on the bench and a 33-inch vertical.
Greg Threat: High 4.5's in the forty, 35-inch vertical and just 10 reps on the bench.
Eric Winston: Just 22 reps on the bench with a solid 33-inch vertical.
Leon Williams: 35-inch vertical and 4.54-seconds.
Workout of the day? Kenard Davis, track guy/cornerback. Ran a 4.25 forty, posted 41.5 inches in the vertical and completed 16 reps on the bench.
