Senior Mark Fenton is one of the most underrated centers in the nation and prospect with first day potential in' 07. A nasty blocker effective in all areas of the game, Fenton lacks the great size but offers growth potential. Brian Daniels has been a consistent performer for Colorado and the hard working guard is best in a small area. Daniels will receive late round consideration next April. Jack Tipton is a competent utility blocker but a limited athlete best as a reserve. Junior Edwin Harrison is an impressive underclassman with a fine combination of athleticism and size. Controlling opponents at the point, Harrison offers a good degree of upside potential and will be highly rated moving towards the 2008 draft.
Defensively Alex Ligon is an undersized yet speedy edge rusher with the ability to make plays in pursuit. Lacking size and strength Ligon is easily handled at the point by opponents but could offer depth as a situational pass rusher in the NFL. Outside linebacker Thaddaeus Washington is another speedy defender with size limitations. Making plays in every direction of the field he displays explosion to his game. Not stacking well against the run, Washington is a late round pick for a team which needs depth on the weak side. Senior free safety J.J. Billingsley could move into later rounds with a solid campaign in ‘06. Place-kicker Mason Crosby is a devastating weapon as his huge legs scores points for the offense or pins opponents deep on kick-offs for the defense. Crosby consistently puts the ball through the uprights with room to spare from 50-yards or longer. A good post season could push him into the draft's first day.
