Fantasy Studs and Starts - Week 2

Week 2 of the 2006 NFL fantasy season is here and it's time to set those fantasy line-ups. will be here each week to provide advice on "Who to start?" and "Who to bench?" in our weekly Fantasy Studs and Starts column.

Peyton Manning - Peyton gets to play a "regular" game this week and
will eat up the Texans at home.
Tom Brady - Has never needed top-ten WRs to be good.
Carson Palmer - With week 1 behind him, Palmer should shine against
the Browns.
Kurt Warner - He'll go for over 300 and at least a couple scores.
Eli Manning - Eli should pick apart Philly's banged up secondary.

Donovan McNabb - Almost earned a bump to STUD, but this week's
defense may be a bit tougher.
Marc Bulger - Niners should make it fun for Bulger.
Matt Hasselbeck - Branch should help and AZ's defense looked weak
against SF.
Daunte Culpepper - Close to STUD consideration against Buffalo in
week 2.
David Carr - Carr will be down early and he'll go to the air with
some success to Johnson and Moulds.
Steve McNair - Give him the nod against the Raiders.

Jake Delhomme - Jake and the Panthers were confused without Smith
and super-Steve is out again for week 2.
Jon Kitna - Bears will have Kitna on his back.
Aaron Brooks - Looked absolutely horrible last week.
Brett Favre - Will have a better game this week, but still benched.
Chris Simms - Riding the pine again until he shows us something.
J.P. Losman - Miami should eat him up this week.
Jake Plummer - Downgraded after that pathetic performance in week 1.

Running Backs
LaDainian Tomlinson - Likely to be the fantasy STUD of the week
with silly numbers against Tennessee.
Shaun Alexander - Still a STUD, but Hutchinson's departure hurt.
Larry Johnson - LJ is still too good to downgrade...he's a STUD.
Edgerrin James - Edge is becoming the glue on this team.
Thomas Jones - Defense will give Jones some nice field positions.
Rudi Johnson - He'll dominate after his team gets the lead.
Steven Jackson - Great matchup this week.
Ronnie Brown - Call it a good feeling against the Bills at home.

DeShaun Foster - Needs to improve this week or he'll lose carries.
Mike Bell/Tatum Bell - Either would be a STUD if Shannahan would
allow it.
Corey Dillon/Laurence Maroney - See situation with the Bells.
Tiki Barber - Again...gets huge yards, but TDs are minimal.
Brian Westbrook - Gives nice numbers in both run and passing game.
Reuben Droughns - We'll try him one more time against Cincy.
Deuce McAllister/Reggie Bush - Great combo here...pick 'em for your
fantasy starter - but Deuce should get most run touches.
Willis McGahee - Solid preseason and solid last week.
Frank Gore - Last week's performance can't be ignored.
Joseph Addai - Rookie will show what he has when Indy gives him the
ball with the lead.

Tennessee Titans RBs - Still a carousel in Nashville.
New York Jets RBs - See Tennessee.
Jamal Lewis - Feast or famine - not worth the risk.
Clinton Portis - Gibbs says he won't play in week 2.
Ahman Green - Green Bay needs to show something first.
LaMont Jordan - Workhorse on a lousy team.
Kevin Jones - Not this week against Bears.

Wide Receivers
Chad Johnson - Chad has some dances prepared for the Browns.
Marvin Harrison - Home cooking against the Texans.
Reggie Wayne - Watch Manning nail Wayne in the numbers all day.
Larry Fitzgerald - Dropped 3 last week, but still a STUD.
Anquan Boldin - He and Fitz will eat up Seattle's secondary.
Chris Chambers - Chambers wants it and we'll give it to him - he'll
bust it out against the Bills.
Donte Stallworth - Amazing chemistry after 12 days with the team...
Donte' moves to STUD status and is instantly McNabb's fav.
Terrell Owens - Human highlight film - he'll add to last week's
Plaxico Burress - Will feed off of Philly and Lito Shepard isn't

Muhsin Muhammad - May do okay with some nice field positions - and
Grossman didn't look that bad last week.
Andre Johnson - Will put up some nice numbers late in Indy.
T.J. Houshmandzadeh - Back in for week 2 and a nice play.
Troy Williamson - #1 on Vikes with Brad Johnson looking good.
Kellen Winslow Jr. - This TE will soon be the billboard for
Cleveland's passing game.
Darrell Jackson - DJax will embarrass the redbird secondary.
Torry Holt - He'll probably STUD it out this week, but we'll keep
him here and watch before moving him up.
Javon Walker - Downgraded to a START until Plummer figures out how
to get him the ball.
Antonio Gates - He'll destroy the Titans...almost a STUD this week.
Derrick Mason - McNair will hit him in the numbers all day.

Roy Williams - Bear defense is the real deal.
Steve Smith - Not playing in week 2.
Randy Moss - He should be a STUD on any other team, but Oakland's
offense is really bad...facing Baltimore won't help.
Eddie Kennison - Not a good situation in KC with Green out.
Jacksonville WRs - Pittsburgh D is too tough for them to do much of
