Fantasy Studs and Starts - Week 5

Week 5 of the 2006 NFL fantasy season is here and it's time to set those fantasy line-ups. Scout.com will be here each week to provide advice on "Who to start?" and "Who to bench?" in our weekly Fantasy Studs and Starts column.

Quarterbacks
STUDS
Marc Bulger - Rams are 3-1 and will see the Packers D this week.
Peyton Manning - STUD gets to face the Tennessee Titans at home.

START
Donovan McNabb - McNabb went off on MNF, but Dallas isn't the Pack.
Drew Bledsoe - Facing a beat up Philly secondary.
Rex Grossman - We're eating some crow...Grossman may be better than
we thought and he's going to throw on Bills.
Eli Manning - Rested and ready with receiving weapons.
Tom Brady - Brady tore up Cincy...he'll repeat against the Phins.
Jon Kitna - He's getting it done in Mike Martz' offense...due to
get a win soon.
Byron Leftwich - Still healthy and may be learning how to control
his cannon.
Vince Young - Only a START if desperate since Indy will blow the
Titans out early and give Young plenty of garbage time.
Mark Brunell - Feast or famine QB that feasted on Jax last week.
Jake Delhomme - He'll put up STUD numbers against the Browns.
Chad Pennington - He's had 4 good weeks and is legit.

BENCH
Daunte Culpepper - He may not even start this week...he's just not
healthy.
Jake Plummer - Ravens D is for real and Plummer is not.
Brett Favre - Brett and his whole team are banged up.
Ben Roethlisberger - No reason to start him against Chargers D.
Charlie Frye - Find another option.
J.P. Losman - Bears will maul him.
Aaron Brooks - Probably the last time we ever mention him...
Andrew Walter gets to spend time on his back instead.
Matt Leinart - Give him a week or two before you start him.
Kurt Warner - He's done.

Running Backs
STUDS
Joseph Addai - HUGE play this week.
Laurence Maroney - The kid has graduated to STUD.
Steven Jackson - League leader in yards just needs a couple TDs.
LaDainian Tomlinson - Still a STUD even though the Steelers D is a
threat.
Thomas Jones - How does this guy not have better stats?
Larry Johnson - Larry's got it going.

START
Kevin Jones - Better each week.
Maurice Jones-Drew - He'll be even better this week.
Chester Taylor - Comeback effort against the Lions.
Deuce McAllister - He gets most of the carries and is goal-line back.
Tiki Barber - Can you make that a rushing/receiving combo please?
Clinton Portis - Looked 100% against a tough Jags run D and gets a
better matchup this week.
LaMont Jordan - Finally a game worth starting him.
Frank Gore - I like him against the Raiders.
Julius Jones - He'll have better games, but start him if on your
roster.
DeShaun Foster - He should bust out against the Brownies.

BENCH
Brian Westbrook - He's on our bench until he proves he's healthy.
Tatum Bell - Can't run on the Ravens D.
Willie Parker - San Diego D is getting it done.
Ahman Green - Who knows whether he'll play...and he's off a step.
Tennessee Titans RBs - Eenie, meenie, miny, moe.
Willis McGahee - Playing the Bears...bench him.
New York Jets RBs - See Tennessee.

Receivers
STUDS
Marvin Harrison - Tied for league lead in receptions and yards with
the Titans coming to town.
Steve Smith - Ready for a huge game at home against Cleveland.
Reggie Wayne - He'll destroy Tennessee's secondary at home.
Roy Williams - Williams showed up against Rams and is a would be
STUD in any offense...especially with Mike Martz running the show.
Torry Holt - Going to Green Bay and will build upon last week.

START
Laveranues Coles - Leading the league with Harrison in receptions
and yards...no reason he should slow down.
Larry Fitzgerald - Demoted until Leinart resurrects him back to
STUD status.
Terrell Owens - He's been waiting for this game for over a year and
Philly's secondary is ailing.
Terry Glenn - Focus will be on T.O.
Anquan Boldin - He and Fitz haven't had any consistence at the QB
position this year...we'll see what Leinart does this week.
Randy Moss - He gets one chance with an easy opponent...he either
does it here or is done unless traded.
Marques Colston - Brees is helping make this kid a star.
Doug Gabriel - Emerging as Brady's fav.
Plaxico Burress - Close to a STUD this week against Skins.
Drew Bennett - Been capitalizing in garbage time and he'll get
plenty this week.
Keyshawn Johnson - Enough stats to go around against Browns.
Kellen Winslow Jr. - Missing practices, but okay start if he plays.
Todd Heap - Questionable, see Winslow and check closer to gametime.

BENCH
Donte Stallworth - His hammy's been a letdown the last two weeks and
he probably won't play against the Boys.
Lee Evans - Playing da Bears.
Donald Driver - Move to START if he heals (against porous Rams D),
but banged up and may not play.
San Diego WRs - Another tough week for SD with Pitt in town.
Javon Walker - Ravens will attack Plummer like vultures...Walker
will have tough go of it.

BYE WEEK 4 - Falcons, Bengals, Seahawks, Texans
