Q : Hey Freak! What Up! I'm a big Jets fan...J-E-T-S, JETS, JETS, JETS! Anyway, we're going crazy this year since most dudes didn't think we'd win more than 3 or 4 games. You with what's happening here? If we beat Cleveland, then we're gonna be 5-3 and get to rock into our bye week! We got a chance this year Freak?

Anyways, I picked up Leon Washington. Was he a good pickup? I think he's gonna roll against Cleveland, don't you? Will he get the output he did this past week? I think he will. Thanks Freak.

Tony G. - Trenton, NJ

Q : Okay, with Matt Hasselbeck beat up I'm in trouble for the next 3 weeks. I had Drew Bledsoe as his back-up so I'm really in trouble. One owner will let me have either Philip Rivers or Jake Delhomme for the same price and I'm leaning toward Delhomme since he has Steve Smith. You agree? Thanks.

Stu P. - Lima, OH

I would take Rivers over Delhomme here. Rivers gets the St. Louis Rams in week 8 and the Cleveland Browns in week 9 (followed by Cincy in week 10). Delhomme, on the other hand, has a more difficult schedule and has a bye in week 9! Grab Rivers and his fantasy points until Hasselbeck is able to return.

Q : Hey Freak! I'm doing very well this year with a 6-1 record and have almost clinched a playoff spot even though it's still early (the other teams in my division have horrible records). My question has to do with my quarterback. I have Peyton Manning with Jon Kitna as a backup and am thinking of trading Manning before our week 8 trade deadline.

Here's my thinking. Our 2 week playoffs are in weeks 16 and 17 and I'm worried that Manning will be resting when I need him most. I know I can get Matt Hasselbeck (now that he's hurt), Darrell Jackson, and Jeremy Shockey for Manning if I make the trade now. I would have to start Kitna for a couple to three weeks and DJax' production may suffer during that period...but I think the trade would really pay off when I need it to. BTW...we have to start a tight end and I really need help at wide receiver as well. Do I make the trade and give up Manning? Thanks!

Tom M. - Chama, NM

Wow! I like the way you think Tom and I agree with you. Make the deal. The Seahawks stuggles of late will assure that they play their starters in weeks 16 and 17...which is not necessarily true for the Colts. Hasselbeck will heal and rebound. Shockey is a stud tight end for leagues that require one. And DJax will continue to do well - esp. as Shaun Alexander heals. You'll be getting a very nice 3 player return for a quarterback that will likely have his stats limited during your fantasy superbowl.

There are many instances in past years where a dominant fantasy team won with a majority of players from one dominant NFL team - only to watch the fantasy team lose in the superbowl as the NFL team benched its starters for necessary playoff rest. Think the Niners in their dominant days (the inception of fantasy football) and remember the Eagles from only a couple of years ago when they started benching starters in week 15. Good job and good luck!

Q : Hi Freak. Man have you ever been right on Tiki Barber and Andre Johnson this season. Barber isn't getting TDs and Andre continues to be a one-man-gang on a not-so-good team. Thanks for the tips as I listened and made adjustments accordingly.

But with that said, you've missed it on Chad Johnson and I'm getting frustrated. I now have an offer to send him packing for Donte Stallworth - who I belive will be playing again this weekend. Tell me why I shouldn't make the move. Thanks.

Steve L. - St. Paul, MN

You don't make the trade because Chad Johnson is a much better player with more fantasy potential than Stallworth. And CJ doesn't have a hamstring injury that has recently been tweaked. Remember this, we're only 7 games into the season and most teams have only played 6 games out of their 16. Don't panic and don't give up on studs just yet.

Q : Hi. I have Edgerrin James and am really frustrated. I thought he would bust it out last week, but the whole Cardinal team was awful and got pounded by the lowly Raiders. What's up with that? I'm thinking of benching Edge for awhile. Would you bench Edge in favor of Frank Gore this week?

Dave B. - Henderson, NV

No way! You probably only looked at your options at running back and missed the fact that Edge is playing the Green Bay Packers and Gore is playing the Bears. Why don't you wait and see what happens this weekend before you totally bench him for the year.

Q : Hey Freak! I'm in a keeper league and have Randy Moss. Another owner just offered me Roy Williams for him. This guy is a Patriots fan and is probably hoping that Moss is traded to New England at the end of the season and will see it as a major score. He also needs the win this week and Williams is on a bye. Do I trade with him? I know you're pretty high on ROY.

Ted Z. - Shippensburg, PA

Make the deal. You can never predict where or if a player might be traded. The other point here is that we are still playing THIS SEASON. Roy Williams is perhaps the best wide receiver in the NFL and is in a pass happy offense. Get him on your team now if you can...even if it is just prior to his bye week. Williams will be a HUGE fantasy stud for years to come.

Thanks Ted and good luck this weekend. Let me know if the trade happens.
