Q : Hey Freak! You've been ripping on Rex Grossman all season and I have to admit that I thought you were a little off about him. But he's had one horrible performance after another and you're looking like a prophet as far as Grossman is concerned...and you're right, he's gonna lose the playoffs for the Bears if Lovie doesn't make a change (just as Grossman came in for Orton and lost it last year with his pass happy style). I've officially dropped him from my roster. I'm not even going to ask you whether he should be one of my keepers for next year because I know what you'll say. I should have listened. But at least I didn't let him lose my chance at the playoffs.
Steven O. - Chicago, IL
I think you know my thoughts on Grossman. He hasn't done any favors to fantasy owners who picked him up...and he's been an additional disservice to the Chicago Bears and their fans. However, the spiraling peformances can't totally be thrown in Grossman's lap. Coach Lovie Smith has to be held accountable for allowing Grossman's irresponsible pass happy style to dictate the offense and resultant turnovers (thus also taking a toll on their defense).
Q : Hi Freak. I'm in a 12 team keeper league where we're allowed to keep one QB, RB, WR, TE, and K. I think I have most of the positions identified except for the QB position. Do I keep Joey Harrington, Daunte Culpepper, or Jon Kitna? Thanks!Harv K. - Annapolis, MD
Hi Harv. I think you roll the dice and take Culpepper. Kitna nor Harrington won't be top 10 QBs either way, but Culpepper still has the potential to be a top 5 QB provided he's healthy. Obviously, you'll need to grab someone in the auction next season...I'm sure you'll be able to get insurance for Culpepper if he doesn't work out. Good luck!
Debbie A. - Eugene, OR
Play Thomas Jones with confidence.
Keith B. - Jacksonville, FL
Hi Keith. It may be tempting to go with your hometown Jags QB, but I think you go with Big Ben and Tom Brady. Both will do well this week.
Q : Hi Freak! I made it to my playoffs! Thanks for your help this season. I have alot of Colts players so do you think the Colts will rest their players in week 17?
Tommy A. (age 9) - Cincinnati, OH
Hi Tommy! Good question, but it's too early to tell at this point. Due to their loss to the Tennessee Titans in week 13, the Colts are now tied atop the AFC. They will keep their skill players on the field until they have wrapped up home field advantage.
Sam C. - Toledo, OH
Go with CJ against the Raiders. He and QB Carson Palmer will connect often and have a huge game!___________________________________________
