Asked about his take on the future of Green Bay quarterback Brett Favre in this league after the Vikings dropped their last game against him, Vikings head coach Brad Childress provided a few observations on the future Hall of Famer. But then he finished it up with this simple phrase.
"Shoot, that guy can still play if he wants to," he said during his 8-minute interview with NFL Sirius Radio.
Childress then fielded a number of questions about his rookie quarterback Tarvaris Jackson who will make his second start this weekend, but this time in the more friendly confines of the Metrodome.
And as for the Rams who are coming to town after a 37-31 overtime win over the Redskins, Childress said, "They're coming in here playing for the playoffs, and I expect to see them come in here fired up."
Listen in to the complete audio, compliments of NFL Sirius Radio, to hear him talk about Marcus Robinson, Jeff Garcia, and to also find out who he said are the guys that he can lean on heading into next season as he continues to develop his team.
