Billy Miller joined Adam Caplan and Bryan McGovern on Sirius NFL Radio's "Late Hits" this week to talk about his role in the Saints offense and the challenge in front of his team as they head into Chicago for the NFC Championship game on Sunday.
Back in 2002, Miller led the Houston Texans with 51 catches. Five years later he finds himself in a position to help the New Orleans Saints earn their first appearance in a Super Bowl. He talked extensively about the Saints' varied offensive weapons and the way his coach, Sean Payton, uses them all to the team's advantage.
As Miller was asked about some of the other players on the Saints offense who will play huge roles against the Bears, he mentioned why RB Reggie Bush has been important to the team and shared his take on quarterback Drew Brees.
"He commands respect and he commands the huddle," he said. "You just know he's going to make it right.
"...He's a very, very bright guy, and no matter what happens, no matter what blitz, he's just going to make it right."
Listen to the entire 8-minute interview, compliments of Sirius NFL Radio, as Miller also talks about the Bears defense and his thoughts on working the middle seam against Chicago's Brian Urlacher:
