Fifth-round draft pick Omar Gaither was one of Philadelphia's success stories this season, getting the opportunity to start the final five games and through the playoffs and taking advantage of it to showcase his skills.
This week he was a guest on Sirius NFL Radio and talked about how the Eagles hung in and propelled themselves into the playoffs despite the loss of quarterback Donovan McNabb. And he shared some thoughts on both McNabb and Garcia and what each one means to the team as leaders.
And despite the loss to the Saints in the playoffs, the Eagles rookie pointed out just one of the many positives for Philadelphia as they look forward to the 2007 season.
"The fact that we did go through some tough times this season in the middle of the season, and we fought through that ... it shows this team does have character and that's something you can always build on going into next season."
Find out what else Gaither had to say in this 9-minute interview clip, compliments of Sirius NFL Radio, as he talked about his former LB coach,
Steve Spagnuolo, who was hired by the Giants as their new defensive coordinator. And you'll hear him talk about this weekend's Super Bowl and the Eagles' experience with the Colts as well:
