NOTES FROM THE FIELD 

  • Gaines Adams of Clemson was the star of this morning's show. He looked athletic and explosive, and stood out in linebacker drills.

  • Baraka Atkins also looked fluid and athletic throughout the session and also improved his draft stock.

  • Tim Crowder of Texas was another who looked fluid on the field and also did well during linebacker drills.

  • AIan Branch of Michigan looked athletic at times, yet seemed to tire quickly. Still, he was all over the field.

  • Dan Bazuin of Central Michigan had a tough session, showing marginal movement skills and looked poor during his linebacker drills.

    NOTES FROM THE FIELD
    • As we reported last week, Lamarr Woodley of Michigan did not participate in any of the workouts.

    • Quinn Pitcock of Ohio State was carted off the field with an injury.

    • Charles Johnson of Georgia looked good and practiced faster than he timed.

    • Turk McBride of Tennessee also stood out, showing excellent footwork and lateral speed.

    • Jarvis Moss of Florida stood out in most of the defensive line and linebacker drills.

    • Quintin Moses of Georgia struggled and has probably lost any chance of being selected in round one.

    • Brandon Mebane of California also performed poorly after his slow 40 times.
