"At times you've got to be tough, at times you've got to be hard," he said earlier this year at the Scouting Combine in Indianapolis. "But then again, you've got to have integrity, you've got to be respectful."
As he grew up, Bishop was exposed to much in life that he decided just wasn't going to be a part of his future.
"I saw everything in the world in that neighborhood," he said. "It was a lesson to know what to stay away from. It's probably why I don't smoke or drink."
