Year  4Jr    Number:  70

Stats/ Bio:

2001: Third team All-Big 12 and one of 21 semifinalists for the "Rimington Award" as the best collegiate offensive center. 22 consecutive starts under his belt .

Scouting Report:

The Good:  Powerful lineman that dominates in the middle of the field.   Blocks with sound fundamentals; bends his knees, plays with leverage and uses angles well.  Quick off the mark, immediately sets up in pass protection and strong at the point of attack.  Turns opponents out, gets movement from his run blocks and anchors in pass protection.  Battles with his hands and works hard throughout the play.  Intelligent and aware of his assignments but at the same time plays with a nasty attitude.  Not agile or nimble and best in a small area.

The Bad: Needs to add a little bulk for the next level.

The Skinny:  A lot of upside for the future and a solid prospect for a team that employs a zone-blocking type scheme, which does not require their linemen to block on the move.  Requires a little time to physically mature but the arrow is pointing up.
