Julius Jones/RB - His once promising career took a tumble in recent years but he'll get a chance to start once again since RB Shaun Alexander is expected to be released some time in June.
T.J. Duckett/RB - He'll handle most of their short-yardage situations which is really the one area where he's solid.
Jeb Putzier/TE - He signed a one-year deal but could start. Putzier is still very athletic but not a good blocker.
Mike Wahle/G - The veteran interior lineman will compete against Rob Sims, who struggled last season, for the starting LG job.
Chris Cooper/DL - The journeyman defensive lineman is back for second go-around with the Seahawks.
Omare Lowe/S - He'll vie for time as a backup and on special teams.
Olindo Mare/K - He has a strong leg but is not even close to being accurate. It should be noted that the former Miami Dolphin had trouble kicking in the poor field conditions at home.
Mack Strong/FB - He has retired and Leonard Weaver will continue to start for him.
D.J. Hackett/WR - By offering him only a one-year deal for the veteran minimum, the team clearly was telling him they didn't want him back. Yet the Carolina Panthers signed him to a two-year deal and he'll start for them.
Marcus Pollard/TE - He's likely to retire.
Bennie Joppru/TE - The oft-injured tight end remains unsigned.
Tom Ashworth/OL - He's unsigned and may retire.
Floyd Womack/G - The versatile yet oft-injured lineman is without a job.
Ellis Wyms/DT - The versatile defensive lineman will likely line up mostly inside for the Minnesota Vikings.
Chuck Darby/DT - He'll play once again for Rod Marinelli.
Kevin Bentley/OLB - The versatile linebacker signed with the Houston Texans and will get a chance to start.
Niko Koutouvides/LB - The former backup will get a chance to start in the middle with the Denver Broncos.
Josh Brown/K - The decided to let him walk and signed Mare to replace him. This may be a bad move as Mare isn't very accurate (he missed 17 FGs over the past two seasons).
Pre-Draft Team Needs
Tight End - Former first-round pick Jerramy Stevens never panned out and the team is still searching for a viable starter at the position. Putzier will likely start this season until the long-term solution is groomed.
Wide Receiver - With the decision against re-signing WR D.J. Hackett, the team is left with a bunch of unproven receivers who will compete for the job as his replacement. It doesn't help that No. 1 WR Deion Branch is coming back from ACL surgery and he's no lock to be ready for the regular season.
Defensive Tackle - Former first-round pick Marcus Tubbs has missed 27 games over the past two seasons including all of last season. The team needs to get better production out of this position.
Left Tackle - Starter Walter Jones turned 34 earlier this year and doesn't appear to be the same player he once was. The team needs to start grooming his replacement sooner rather than later.
