An explosive lineman that creates a lot of havoc up the field, Eric Manning has been terrorizing opposing offenses since he was a true freshman and now looks to take his game to the next level.

Full Name: Eric Manning      School: Oregon St

Ht: 6-1     Wt: 295          40:4.99

Year: 4Sr    Number: 99

Stats/ Bio:

2001: First team All-Pacific-10 Conference totaling 28/6/3

2000: Started 12 games registering 22/12/2.

1999: Played in 12 regular season games as a true freshman, posting 15/2/1.

Scouting Report:

The Good: Explosive, interior lineman that continually makes plays into the opponents backfield.  Quick off the snap with a great first step, plays with forward lean, leverage and keeps his feet moving up the field.  Redirects to the action, has a closing burst of speed and fast to the flanks.  Can twist or stunt and moves well laterally.  Solid hand technique, which he uses to wedge his way through opponents, squeezing through the tight openings on his way to the action.

The Bad: Not big or bulky and engulfed by opponents.  Wears down over the course of a contest.

The Skinny:  Did not take his game to the next level as we thought he could after a terrific sophomore campaign but still a viable mid-round prospect that could be effective in the "three technique" or if placed next to a wide body.
