Dallas Cowboys Mid Term Report Card

You've seen this one played out before; the absolute smartest kid in the class, who is satisfied with B's and the occasional gentlemen C. This club is talented at every position, but doesn't play with intensity for sixty minutes.

Comments: The Cowboys offensive front supposedly has three All-Pro performers, but in my mind are a highly over rated group. I'll take the Giants lunch box, no name group every day of the week. In spite of some impressive returns, the Cowboys coverage and protection teams have been in a word brutal.

Ownership is highly involved in personnel and all other football making decision, but unlike most other owners who choose that path, has done a tremendous job of providing the coaching staff the necessary tools to win. Last year After the Cowboys unimpressive victory over the Buccaneers, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones presented coach Wade Phillips with a game ball. A very nice gesture, but in reality if even if they were to run the table for the remainder of the regular season, failure to advance in the post season would result in the end of the Wade Phillips era in Dallas.
