2001: Second-team All-ACC playing almost every snap of the season, missing no more than 10 plays the entire year.  Set a school record with 144 tackles, led the team with 10 tackles for loss and posted four quarterback sacks.  Also forced four fumbles, broke up four passes, had two interceptions and was third on the team with nine quarterback hurries

2000: Started the first four games of the season at outside linebacker and played in every other game,  including the O'ahu Bowl.  Totaled 87 tackles, with one for loss.

Scouting Report

The Good: Heady linebacker that impacts the game when focused.  Reads and anticipates the action, quick to recognize plays and takes good angles to the ball carrier.  Breaks down well playing with leverage and forward lean, then holds his ground against blocks.  Gets depth on his pass drops and also finds his way through the traffic to the action.

The Bad:  Compact build and engulfed by larger opponents.  Seemingly gives half-hearted efforts at times.  Plays outside but may project inside due to size/speed concerns.

The Skinny: Knows the game but must apply his skills for sixty minutes.  May only be effective in limited schemes.
