Eagles-Giants Post-Game Extra Points

Here's an inside look at some post-game news and notes regarding Sunday's Philadelphia Eagles victory over the New York Giants.

Philadelphia Eagles

- Starting FB Dan Klecko, who was listed as doubtful with a shoulder contusion, was active and saw limited playing time. Klecko didn't practice Wednesday or Thursday, but was able to see limited practice time Friday. Backup RB Correll Buckhalter saw most of the fullback snaps in the game. Klecko played sparingly.

- With veteran Matt Schobel inactive, the team dressed just two tight ends. Second-year TE Brent Celek started over TE L.J. Smith (shoulder) for the third straight game.

- RB Lorenzo Booker was inactive for the fifth straight game and for the eighth time this season. Philadelphia acquired Booker from the Miami Dolphins on draft day for a fourth-round pick. With Booker inactive, just two running backs dressed.

- Philadelphia has six defensive ends on their active roster and dressed five. However, backups Victor Abiamiri and Darren Howard also saw time at defensive tackle. Third-round pick Bryan Smith was inactive and hasn't been active for a game this season.

- Philadelphia run blitzed seemingly on most early downs which helped to put the Giants in less than manageable third down situations.

- The Eagles suffered a key injury with No. 3 WR Jason Avant spraining his knee. Avant is their slot receiver and has been a big part of their third down package all season long. He'll likely have an MRI on Monday to determine the extent of the injury.

New York Giants

- The Giants had three running backs active for the game.

- Both kickers, John Carney and Lawrence Tynes, were active for the game. Carney handled extra points and field goals while Tynes handled kickoffs.

- Former starting WLB Gerris Wilkinson was inactive for the third straight game and third-round pick WR Mario Manningham was inactive for the ninth time this season.

- Two former Eagles, DT Jeremy Clark and CB Rashad Barksdale, were inactive. The Giants have four former Eagles on their active roster.

- Former Philadelphia first-round pick DE Jerome McDougle just played for the second time in the last 12 games.

- Backup RB Derrick Ward led the team in receptions with five.
