Wednesday's UA Senior Bowl Insider Notes

Get the latest updates on who NFL teams are talking to this week as the nation's top seniors continue to practice for Saturday's Under Armour Senior Bowl game.'s Ed Thompson and Chris Steuber fill you in on the latest news from Mobile, Alabama.

During the team practices on Wednesday and then later in the evening, Senior NFL Analyst Ed Thompson and Draft Analyst Chris Steuber continued to talk to players, agents and other NFL sources to find out which NFL teams were showing interest in specific players.

  • The Colts were busy on Wednesday night, meeting with a wide variety of players that included Wake Forest cornerback Alphonso Smith, Iowa defensive end Mitch King, Cincinnati defensive end/tight end Connor Barwin, Wake Forest safety Chip Vaughn, and Notre Dame safety David Bruton.

  • Indianapolis' AFC South rival, the Jacksonville Jaguars, sat down with USC defensive tackle Fili Moala Wednesday night to learn more about him.

  • Zack Follett, a tenacious outside linebacker who is also taking some reps at middle linebacker this week in Mobile, met with the Carolina Panthers. He has also drawn interest from the Seahawks, Colts, Chargers, Patriots, Dolphins, Cowboys, Saints and Packers.

  • Liberty running back Rashad Jennings met with the Patriots, and was requested for a second meeting with the Cleveland Browns. An interesting coincidence to the Browns' interest in Jennings is that the team's director of player personnel, T.J. McCreight, played tight end for Liberty when he was in college. Other teams who have been in contact with him are the Seahawks, Bengals, Vikings, Panthers, Jets, Chargers and Broncos.

  • The Browns continued to work the field of Senior Bowl talent aggressively, spending time with Navy fullback Eric Kettani and Cincinnati cornerback DeAngelo Smith.

  • Penn State wide receiver Derrick Williams has met with many teams this week, and on Wednesday night, the New England Patriots became the latest team to express interest in the talented and versatile player. Williams met with the Indianapolis Colts on Tuesday night.

  • Oklahoma safety Nic Harris, who has been working at linebacker this week, met with the Cardinals, Falcons, Eagles, Broncos, Texans and Buccaneers. He had previously met with the Vikings, Seahawks, Bears, Patriots, Jaguars, Panthers, Saints, Lions, and Bengals.

  • Ohio State linebacker Marcus Freeman talked to the Ravens on Wednesday following the North Team's practice. Meanwhile, Virginia linebacker Clint Sintim was busy chatting with a representative from the New York Giants.  Oklahoma offensive lineman Phil Loadholt talked to the Denver Broncos, while Oregon center Max Unger talked to the Buccaneers.

  • Oregon State cornerback Keenan Lewis met with a representative from the New Orleans Saints on Wednesday, but he has also drawn interest during the week from the Chiefs, Jets, Steelers, Texans, Cowboys, Dolphins and the Buccaneers.
