Get the latest updates on who NFL teams are talking to this week as the nation's top seniors continue to practice for Saturday's Under Armour Senior Bowl game. Scout.com's Ed Thompson and Chris Steuber fill you in on the latest news from Mobile, Alabama.
During the team practices on Wednesday and then later in the evening,
Scout.com Senior NFL Analyst Ed Thompson and Draft Analyst Chris Steuber
continued to talk to players, agents and other NFL sources to find out which NFL
teams were showing interest in specific players.
Zack Follett, a tenacious outside linebacker who is also taking some reps
at middle linebacker this week in Mobile, met with the Carolina Panthers. He has
also drawn interest from the Seahawks, Colts, Chargers, Patriots, Dolphins,
Cowboys, Saints and Packers.
Liberty running back Rashad Jennings met with the Patriots, and was requested
for a second meeting with the Cleveland Browns. An interesting coincidence to
the Browns' interest in Jennings is that the team's director of player
personnel, T.J. McCreight, played tight end for Liberty when he was in college.
Other teams who have been in contact with him are the Seahawks, Bengals,
Vikings, Panthers, Jets, Chargers and Broncos.
The Browns continued to work the field of Senior Bowl talent aggressively,
spending time with Navy fullback Eric Kettani and Cincinnati cornerback DeAngelo Smith.
Oklahoma safety Nic Harris, who has been working at linebacker this week, met
with the Cardinals, Falcons, Eagles, Broncos, Texans and Buccaneers. He had
previously met with the Vikings, Seahawks, Bears, Patriots, Jaguars, Panthers,
Saints, Lions, and Bengals.
Oregon State cornerback Keenan Lewis met with a representative from the New Orleans Saints on Wednesday, but he has also drawn interest during the week from
the Chiefs, Jets, Steelers, Texans, Cowboys, Dolphins and the Buccaneers.
