Dallas Cowboys Free Agent Confidential

You don't have to be an NFL cap expert to see that the Cowboys with over 121 million dollars already committed in player salaries for 2009 have some serious personnel issues to consider. The Cowboys have not tipped their hand, I would guess the number 81 might well be available come training camp.

Comments - The Cowboy have only one starter is among the list of six unrestricted free agents, but as of today the Cowboys would have little chance of resigning any of the group. The club would like to re-sign Canty although look for the Dolphins and the home town Panthers to get into bidding for the former product from the University of Virginia product. In actually I didn't think either Cowboys' five technique were particularly impressive over the past two years. The Cowboys dilemma is there is no help behind the two starters. After watching him along the sidelines during the Cowboys season ending loss, I think I would cut ties with the talented but very troubled Tank Johnson. I expect after putting up with his antics, the Cowboys now share my sentiment. Jerry just between us, these types of individuals are cancers in the locker room and when they go south, they never, ever go alone. Former Panthers and Dolphins guard Joe Berger showed little and is not expected to be back in 2009. Strong safety Keith Davis, now in his second go round with the Cowboys, played well in 2008 and is expected to return if the Cowboys can free up the cap space.. Carlos Polk and quarterback Brooks Bollinger are flat out not good enough to win with in the NFL.
