The Latest Scoop from Ed Thompson
The 6-foot-2, 242-pound defensive end out of the University of Connecticut told that he had formal interviews at the NFL Scouting Combine with the Arizona Cardinals, Atlanta Falcons, Buffalo Bills, Carolina Panthers, Dallas Cowboys, Detroit Lions, Green Bay Packers, Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts, New York Giants, New York Jets, Oakland Raiders, Philadelphia Eagles, Pittsburgh Steelers, San Diego Chargers, San Francisco 49ers, St. Louis Rams, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Washington Redskins

Brown said that the 49ers, Panthers and Rams talked to him about playing defensive end, while the rest saw him primarily as a linebacker.

What He Recently Told
"A lot of coaches say they like the burst that I have coming off the ball. Others say they like the way that I make plays in the backfield and get sacks. A lot of teams told me that they were surprised by how well I hold up against the run. Because of my size, a few of them had thought that I wouldn't be able to do that as well."
