OT Ryan Clady (1), Eddie Royal (2) and FB Peyton Hillis (7) were easily the top rookies grouping in football in some time. Center Kory Lichtensteiger (4), LB Spencer Larsen (6), DS Josh Barrett (7) DE Carlton Powell (5), RB Ryan Torain (5) return and all hope to contribute in their second year.

I thought the Broncos draft showed some early promise, but fizzled on day number two. All five first day selections should contribute quickly; with the top three (Moreno, Ayers and Smith) likely to start. Keep a close eye on No Carolina junior tight end Richard Quinn, an athletic big man who can both block and catch. Quarterback Tom Brandstater is a big good looking individual with a strong arm, but he is at best a long term project in my opinion. He doesn't have a lot of quickness or movement in the pocket, was sporadic with his accuracy and made far to many questionable throwing decisions. He also wasn't particularly productive in a stat friendly offense. Kenny McKinley is a player to watch. I felt his hands were just adequate, but he showed speed and quickness out of a break. I felt Seth Olsen was a good technician, but I thought he was a limited athlete and not particularly strong. He can get you by but overall I thought he was at best a back up inside player.
