Tampa Bay Buccaneers Final Draft Report Card

I liked Aqib Talib ball skills, size and awareness, but his speed was suspect. WR Dexter Jackson has top speed with average hands. OG Jeremy Zuttah, LB Geno Hayes and DT Dre Moore are all highly athletic developing football. QB Josh Johnson is light-years away from playing in this league.

I really don't know what they were attempting to do on draft day and I don't think they do either. First selection Josh Freeman is a good athlete with a very strong throwing arm, I believe he has a future, but he is in every sense of the word a project. I really have to question the selection, based on the fact that there is little to no chance of him seeing the field in 2009. Xavier Fulton is a former defensive linemen who is in only his second season on the offensive side of the football. He's a good looking player with good feet, but he was very sloppy with his techniques and I didn't think he used his hands well. He's going to need a great deal of work and there is some serious concern as to how important the game really is to him. Some clubs have also had some medical concerns regarding this player
