Glazer: Vick to the Eagles

Fox Sports reports that the deal is for one year, with a second-year option. But why would a team with three QBs sign another?

According to FoxSports.com's Jay Glazer, the Philadelphia Eagles have reached an agreement on a one-year deal with free agent QB Michael Vick with an option for a second year.

Glazer adds Vick will make $1.6 million for the first year of the deal. The Eagles have an option on the second year for $5.2 million.

The move to sign Vick is very curious because a source told Scout.com that No. 2 QB Kevin Kolb's knee sprain isn't serious. The injury is believed to be a grade-1 MCL sprain. The team said earlier this week that Kolb would be day-to-day after Thursday's game against the New England Patriots.

Kolb is on the third year of his four-year rookie deal and No. 3 QB A.J. Feeley is under contract through the 2010 season.
