When Ashland started practice this month, even though they just signed Michael Vick and have a log jam at quarterback, Scout.com has confirmed that Philadelphia was one of the eight teams in attendance to scout Cundiff. The other teams that have made their way to Ashland, Ohio to get an upclose look at Cundiff were the Atlanta Falcons, Denver Broncos, Miami Dolphins, New York Giants, Arizona Cardinals, Minnesota Vikings and San Diego Chargers.
At 6-foot-2, 215 pounds, Cundiff had an outstanding junior season where he completed 67.4-percent of his passes for 3,776 yards, 37 touchdowns and eight interceptions. A former transfer from Connecticut, Cundiff is an intelligent field general who possesses a strong arm. He stands strong in the pocket and throws deep and intermediate routes with a great sense of timing. He’s able to buy time for receivers with his feet and displays the awareness to make key throws on the run. He goes through his progressions, shows patience and delivers an accurate, catchable ball to the receiver. He’s a great leader and commands respect in the huddle.Cundiff is currently the 14th rated quarterback (211th overall) in Scout.com’s 2010 NFL Draft Rankings.
