Scouting Report: Jason LeMay

Must grow into his body and increase the effectiveness of his blocking if he's to have any possibilities at the next level.

Name:  Jason LeMay School: Appalachian St        Year: 5Sr

Ht: 6-4 Wt: 240 40: 4.93 Pos: TE

Bio: Former Clemson transfer who promptly moved into the starting lineup in 2001.  Caught only a single pass last season for eight yards, after 9/90 the previous year.

Pos: Nice-sized tight end with room to grow physically.  Quick off the snap into his blocks, plays low with leverage and gives effort at the point of attack.  Runs well laterally, stays in tune with the quarterback, and displays adequate hands.  Extends and plucks the ball out of the air away from his frame.

Neg: Lacks strength at the point of attack, does not turn opponents off the line and doesn't get involved in the passing game.

Analysis: Must grow into his body and increase the effectiveness of his blocking if he's to have any possibilities at the next level.
