A physical receiver with big play potential, Hodge will be a steal in the draft.

Strengths: Hodge is a physical, productive receiver. He’s fluid in all of his movements, adjusts nicely to errant passes and is able to muscle up defenders down field to come down with the reception. He possesses strong hands and catches most balls away from his body. He’s a solid route runner and uses his compact build to his advantage to shield away defenders. He’s best in space and has great YAC ability. He’s a hard worker and gives effort as a down field blocker.

Weaknesses: He’s more quick than fast and doesn’t possess an extra gear in the open field. He tends to lose concentration and will drop catchable passes. He doesn’t consistently come back to the quarterback when he’s under pressure.

Steuber Says: Hodge has been a very productive receiver for Ole Miss the last three years and had a breakout season in 2009. He was Jevan Snead’s primary target and elevated his game to the tune of 70 receptions for 1,135 yards and eight touchdowns. This is a deep wide receiver class, and Hodge’s lack of speed will hurt him come April. But he could improve his stock to a mid-round grade if he displays good route running and sure hands in workouts.
