Donovan McNabb/QB - Here's your starting quarterback for the Redskins for at least the next three seasons. Still, they need to develop a younger signal caller.
Rex Grossman/QB - He's slated to be McNabb's backup since Jason Campbell is likely to be traded.
Willie Parker/RB - He'll give the Redskins badly needed speed in back of veteran RB Clinton Portis.
Larry Johnson/RB - Johnson, who turns 31 in late November, has seen his better days, but showed with the Bengals last season that he's capable of being a decent backup.
Josh Bidwell/P - He is the only punter on Washington's 80-man roster.
Sean Ryan/TE - He'll always find work because he's a solid blocker.
Artis Hicks/OL - Hicks can play four positions, but whether he's worthy of starting is another issue.
Ma'ake Kemoeatu/DT - He's coming off a torn Achilles, but still will be counted on for a decent amount of playing time this season.
Phillip Buchanon/CB - Despite being benched last season with the Lions, he'll get a chance to compete for a starting job against Carlos Rogers.
Todd Collins/QB - Since the backup quarterback market is kind of thin, Collins should find a job by August. Grossman will back up McNabb. Jason Campbell is expected to be traded.
Ladell Betts/RB - He's coming off of a torn ACL.
Rock Cartwright/RB - The solid special teamer should find work closer to the start of training camps.
Antwaan Randle El/WR - He never came close to living up to this big contract.
Todd Yoder/TE - Ryan will take over as the blocking tight end.
Chris Samuels/LT - Because of a neck injury, he's decided to retire. His absence will leave a huge void at left tackle.
Levi Jones/LT - He signed as a street free agent last season and started eight games. That should help him find a job before camps open in August.
Randy Thomas/G - He missed 27 games over the past three seasons, so his job became expendable.
Hunter Smith/P - Bidwell has taken his job for now.
Cornelius Griffin/DT - He's one of the few starting quality defensive tackles left in free agency.
Renaldo Wynn/DE - The journeyman defensive lineman turns 36 in September.
Fred Smoot/CB - The veteran was Washington's nickel back last season.
Pre-Draft Team Needs
Right Tackle - Mike Williams, who was out of the league for almost three years, is currently slated as the starter at this position. He hasn't been a full-time starter since ....2004.
Left Tackle - Stephon Heyer will replace Samuels for the time being, but he may be better off a right tackle.
Guard - Hicks hasn't been a full-time starter since 2006 and some believe he may be better off at tackle.
Wide Receiver - 2008 second-rounders Devin Thomas and Malcolm Kelly have yet to make an impact. Veteran WR Santana Moss turns 31 in June and may be on the downside of his career.
Defensive End - It remains to be seen whether the current ends on their 80-man roster fit in well in their revamped scheme which will move to the 3-4.
Cornerback - Rogers was able to void the final year of his rookie deal. He will be playing on a one-year RFA tender and his future seems a bit cloudy with the team. Smoot was also released, leaving the team thin on depth as well.
