Pre-Draft Team Needs: Indianapolis Colts

The Colts are coming off of another solid season. Their needs coming into the draft are probably depth related.

Players Added

Andy Alleman/OL - The former third-round pick of the New Orleans Saints is capable of backing up at center and guard.

Adam Terry/OT - Terry wasn't tendered as a restricted free agent by the Baltimore Ravens. He figures to back up at right tackle with the Colts, but is also capable of playing on the left side.

Players Lost

Jim Sorgi/QB - The team will be looking for Peyton Manning's backup closer to the start of training camp. Sorgi will compete for a job with the New York Giants.

Hank Baskett/WR - He's back with the Philadelphia Eagles. There simply wasn't any room for him with Anthony Gonzalez coming back.

Ryan Lilja/G - Lilja was surprisingly released last month, but found a new home with the Kansas City City Chiefs.

Dan Federkeil/OT - He wasn't tendered as a restricted free agent.

Matt Stover/K - With veteran K Adam Vinatieri now healthy, Stover isn't needed.

Raheem Brock/DL - His released leaves a big hole in their defensive line rotation.

Tyjuan Hagler/LB - Hagler is coming off a torn biceps from last November. He wasn't tendered as a restricted free agent.

Freddy Keiaho/LB - He wasn't tendered as a restricted free agent.

Marlin Jackson/S - Jackson will play safety with the Philadelphia Eagles. The Colts didn't tender him as a restricted free agent because he was coming off of his second ACL injury.

Aaron Francisco/S - He'll see time mostly on special teams with the Carolina Panthers.

Tim Jennings/CB - The defensive back wasn't tendered as a restricted free agent, but found a new home with the Chicago Bears.

T.J. Rushing/CB - He wasn't tendered as a restricted free agent. Rushing figures to sign on with a team that will look at him as a kickoff returner.

Pre-Draft Team Needs

Defensive End - The team made the somewhat surprising release of veteran DL Raheem Brock last month. Brock played end and tackle in their defensive line rotation and his role will have to be replaced. He played in over 70 percent of the defensive snaps last season.

Cornerback - Second-year CB Jerraud Powers did a nice job in his 12 starts last season. But behind him and fellow starter Kelvin Hayden is just Jacob Lacey.

Guard - With Lilja released earlier this year, that leaves Mike Pollak to take his place. Behind him and Kyle DeVan, the team could use some depth, especially in the event that Pollak and DeVan get hurt.
