Name:  Jeff Roehl  School:  Northwestern  Year:   5Sr

Ht:  6-4  Wt:  300  40:  5.15  Pos:  G

Bio: Former Notre Dame transfer who's started the past three seasons at guard for Northwestern.  Second team All-Conference selection as a senior after being an honorable mention choice the prior two seasons.

Pos:  Powerful, interior blocker best in confined quarters.  Plays with a wide base, strong at the point and easily turns defenders out of the action.  Works to stay square, keeps opponents in front of him and anchors in pass protection.  Fights with his hands displaying jolt and good arm extension, does not make mental mistakes and works hard.

Neg:  Stiff in his upper body, bends at the waist and gets tall.  Not light on his feet nor effective in space.

Analysis:  Could find a home for a team that will use him as a run blocking guard and keep his area responsibilities to a minimum.
