The Oakland Raiders have announced that they have signed former Houston Texans defensive end Antonio Smith. Smith signed a two-year deal worth 9 million dollars and he will head to the Oakland with another shot to prove he can play at a high level.
Smith was signed as a free agent in 2009 and appeared in 79 games for the Texans and only missed 1 game in his time in Houston due to suspension. He recorded 112 total tackles with 27 sacks and instantly became a fan favorite with his “Ninja” persona.
Losing Smith just adds to the long list of needs to the Texans need to address.
