Ricky Sapp Re-signs with the Texans

The Houston Texans have resigned exclusive rights free agent outside linebacker Ricky Sapp for the upcoming season.

The Houston Texans have resigned exclusive rights free agent outside linebacker Ricky Sapp for the upcoming season. The terms of the deal were not disclosed, but Sapp returning brings back depth to the outside linebacker position.

Sapp saw time for the Texans in the last three games of the season at outside linebacker and registered 1 tackle. He was claimed off of waiver by the Texans from the New York Jets in November of 2013.

He was drafted in 2010 by the Philadelphia Eagles in the 5th round (134th overall) out of Clemson.
