According to Adam Caplan (ESPN NFL Insider) the Houston Texans are expected to sign outside linebacker Lawrence Sidbury. Also according to Tania Ganguli it is expected to be a one year vet minimum deal when the deal becomes official.
Sidbury (6-2, 266 lbs.) last played for the Indianapolis Colts in 2013 and spent four seasons with the Atlanta Falcons from 2009 through 2012. In
four seasons with the Falcons, Sidbury appeared in 48 games and totaled 17 tackles with five sacks. He played at Richmond and was drafted in 2009 in the 4th round (125th overall) by the Falcons.
With the addition of Sidbury on the horizon, the Texans will have to make a corresponding roster move to open a roster spot for the new addition.
