The Houston Texans have signed Quentin Groves to add depth to a thin outside linebacker position. Groves last played for the Cleveland Browns in 2013 and he will be added to a position group that needs help.
Groves played at Auburn where he was drafted in the 2nd round (52nd overall) in the 2008 NFL draft by the Jacksonville Jaguars. After spending two seasons
with the Jaguars he spent time with the Oakland Raiders (2010-2011), Arizona Cardinals (2012) and the Browns last season.
In while starting 29 games in 84 NFL games Groves registered 157 total tackles with 8.5 sacks and 2 interceptions. Groves looks like he will be an instant
upgrade to help the special teams unit and defense moving forward.
