Brandon Weeden Expected to Start on Sunday

Brian Hoyer's health is improving but the Houston Texans will opt for Brandon Weeden on Sunday.

Brian Hoyer is still in the concussion protocol and despite a week a practice the Houston Texans will let him have an extra weekend to make sure he is fully recovered. Hoyer is feeling better but the Texans will start Brandon Weeden on Sunday against the Tennessee Titans.

Weeden came in for the injures T.J. Yates last week against the Indianapolis Colts going 11 of 18 (61.1%) for 105 yards and 1 touchdown. 4 of the 6 drives he lead resulted in 16 points, and throwing the game winning touchdown to Jaelen Strong late in the contest.

With Weeden scheduled to start, newly signed B.J. Daniels will be the Texans backup quarterback. Daniels has been being worked into offensive packages, so there is a good chance that both quarterbacks will play on Sunday.

Weeden will mark the 4th different starting for the Texans in 2015.
