Jadeveon Clowney Likely Out For Sunday with Foot Injury

Jadeveon Clowney will more than likely be out for Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Alll signs point to Jadeveon Clowney being out on Sunday against the Jacksonville Jagaurs after missing practice for the second consecutive day. Clowney is dealing with a foot injury he suffured against the the Tennessee Titans late in the game when the Houston Texans had the game in hand.

This will be Clowney's third missed game due to an injury, he missed two games mid-season due to a brusied back.

"I would say that Jadeveon probably would not play on Sunday," said coach Bill O'Brien.

It appears the long term plan is to have Clowney ready for the playoffs, if and when the Texans can lock up the AFC South. Clowney in 13 games had 40 tackles, 4.5 sacks and six pass deflections.

Other Notes:

  • Cecil Shorts III will miss his fifth game of the season due to injury, this time with a hamstring injury. As the offense's primariy slot wide receiver, Shorts has 42 receptions for 484 yards and 2 touchdowns.
