Houston Texans defensive line coach Paul Pasqualoni has stepped down for family reasons leaving that spot on the staff open for the time being. Pasqualoni is returning back to the East coast to spend time with his family and ends his one and only season as the defensive line coach for the Texans.
With the vacancy, the Texans will have three new coaches on staff and it could be four if Mike Vrabel takes the defensive coordinator job for the San Francisco 49ers.
Pasqualoni is expected to be replaced by former Texans defensive lineman Anthony Weaver. Weaver has spent two seasons in the same position with the Cleveland Browns. Weaver also coached defensive line for the New York Jets and Buffalo Bills.
