Houston Texans defensive end and 2015 AP NFL Defensive Player of the Year J.J. Watt has been cleared to resume full workouts for the offseason in preparation for the 2016 season. Watt has been sidelined and been rehabbing since his surgery in early January. Watt was dealing with a injured groin that he played with majority of the season before it finally gave way in the Wildcard round of the playoffs.
Watt racked up 76 total tackles, 29 tackles for loss, 50 quarterback hits and 8 passes defensed in 2015. Watt also notched his fourth consecutive double digit sack season with 17.5 and would have easily surpassed 20 sack if he did not break his hand and play with a cast for three games.
