Houston Texans tight end Garrett Graham is expected to be released by the Texans within the coming days. Graham's agents met wtih the Texans during the NFL Combine to make sure everyone was on the same page regarding Graham's future with the team.
Graham will be released in time for him to get a head start to find a new team before free agency opens up.
The Texans went in a different direction with their tight end group midway through the 2015 season which left him in-active for the final 8 regular season games and the wildcard round versus the Kansas City Chiefs.
In his 6 seasons with the Texans, Graham caught 100 passes for 1,059 yards and 10 touchdowns in 60 career games. He was re-signed by the Texans after the 2013 season to a three-year deal to remain with the team.
Graham was drafted out of Wisconsin in the 4th round of the 2010 NFL Draft. With the move, the Texans will save around $3.1 million towards the 2016 cap for other potential moves.
