The Houston Texans pulled the plug on 2015 free agent signing safety Rahim Moore just one season into his three-year deal. With the release of Moore, the Texans will save ~$2.06 million against the salary cap.
Moore had a season that he would like to soon forget with 7 games started, 16 total tackles, and one interception. The final 9 games of the season, he was inactive. The signing was one of the bigger disappointments for the Texans this season given all the excitement surrounding his acquisition.
The Texans will be in the market for another safety to fill the void that Moore leaves with his release.
